Last week we said farewell to the brilliant Alan Ball as he retired from his role with the Aurum team.
Since joining DNA, Alan has played a crucial role in the growth and development of the business and continued to do so as part of Aurum and the wider Ark Group. Over the years, he has left a lasting mark on numerous landmark projects, making a real impact on both colleagues and clients alike.
Before joining the Ark Group, Alan’s career spanned decades across the construction industry. From major hotel schemes to his recent leadership on the One Chesil Beach redevelopment, his experience, professionalism and commitment have helped shape the quality and reputation our teams are known for today.
Alan began his career as an apprentice carpenter straight from school, working his way up through the ranks from qualified carpenter to carpentry foreman and later into site and project management with George & Harding in the late 1990s.
Over the years, he delivered a wide range of projects, including fast-track rollouts for Burger King and Little Chef as well as new build schools, supermarkets, hotels and care homes. He went on to become a Project Manager at the peak of his career and, more recently, rounded off an incredible 55-year journey as a Senior Site Manager.
Alan’s eye for detail, steady leadership and wealth of hands-on experience have set a benchmark for others to follow. While he will be greatly missed, we are immensely grateful for all he has contributed and wish him every happiness in his well-earned retirement.
Thank you, Alan, and congratulations on an incredible career!
