Piling works are powering ahead at Noss on Dart Marina, driving progress on construction of the new foul drainage pumping station.

This 7-metre-deep structure will provide vital infrastructure for the new 5-star hotel apartment complex and the wider marina development. With long-term performance and resilience in mind, the build includes secant piling, cofferdam construction, and precision dewatering techniques.

Working within a live scheme and operational marina brings its own logistical challenges – and during ground probing, the site’s shipbuilding heritage revealed another. Legacy materials and historic obstructions beneath the surface meant careful excavation was needed to progress the works safely and efficiently – maintaining momentum without disruption.

With groundworks complete and obstacles cleared, we welcomed another impressive rig from the Sheppard Piling Ltd team. Making its UK debut fresh from Italy, the brand-new Geax EK110 has been in full swing under the Dartmouth sun displaying its ability to handle restricted access and tough conditions with ease.

With piling progressing well, the next phase is close behind.
