Last week we welcomed Oscar to Ark Group for a week of work experience.

Oscar joined us with a creative background and a growing interest in art and design — already considering a potential future in the built environment, this placement gave him a valuable window into how design decisions are delivered on site.

Over the course of the week, he got involved in a range of activities, from reviewing drawings and Procore walkthroughs to observing design coordination meetings with clients and consultants. He also spent time shadowing team members and working through tasks in tandem, giving him a real sense of how we manage information across a live construction project.

One of his key tasks involved reviewing internal door schedules against architectural plans, helping ensure alignment between site construction and ordered materials. A great opportunity to experience the pace and detail of active project delivery.
